I thought I would share my Eggnog Soda Bread recipe. This Soda Bread recipe is based off an Irish Soda Bread recipe. It is a thick cake-like bread that pairs well with tuna. It is mildly sweet.

Dough ready for the oven.

1 large egg
2/3 cup egg nog (or sweetened condensed milk)
1/4 cup melted butter
1 2/3 flour
2 tbl sp sugar
1 t sp baking powder
1/2 t sp baking soda
1/2 t sp salt
Preheat oven 375 then lower to 350
Wisk in bowl the 1 2/3 cup all purpose flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon salt. Set aside.
In a separate bowl mix 1 large egg, 2/3 cup egg nog, and 1/4 cup melted butter.
Add to flour mix until dry ingredients are moist place on baking sheet in mound slash large X in center bake at 350 for 25 – 30 min until brown crust forms. Cool
