My name is darkness
It has no meaning
A growl, a sound is all
My life gives it purpose
All I have done
Yes all that I am
These things made me
Into this sort of man

Today’s wisdom is going to be short and sweet, do not let others determine who you are. Today you design who you are. Embrace it.
Wrapped in your arms
Begged, reveal yourself to me
I don’t wish to lose you
By waking up you see
I miss you when I wake
Longing to battle again
I need you beside me
Without you I can’t win
Who are you my shadow?
You deny your identity
But I know you, my warrior
You’re always here with me
Don’t hid your face from me
You are worthy of much more
Let me see you my darling
The shadow I adore

Panic darkness isolation
Nothing but lost infatuations
Drifting seas empty boats
Faceless man just a ghost
Of what I am to be
Blindly drifting this empty sea
Voiceless hopeless waiting for her
Living dead murderer
Trying waiting dying motion
Swaying changing notions
Life death left right
Losing my endless fight
Against myself inside my head
Giving up I’ve been read
She knows but hides
I also know but I lied

I ached, weeping I ached
Isolation, vague imprisonment
A cage, man, woman
male, female
I ached.
I screamed, wretched I screamed
Rattling, binary chains
society, he, she
him, her
I screamed
Me, just me, free unmasked
solid, unfettered, real
no female, male
him, her
Just me

I started the piece with a sketch. It’s hard to see here but the lines were all very basic. I wanted the image to be just that simple, basic. I decided to do this piece after my son was asking about childbirth.
Sketch
After the Sketch I began painting. I choose simple colours.
Born Beautiful
After painting this piece which is Acrylic on canvas I thought about how we feel during pregnancy. Every child we say we don’t care the gender we will love them either way and so I purposely made this child genderless. Every child is Born Beautiful.
Fantastic imagery as far as your imagination can take you.
