To the paper anymore

Is beating, unsure
The rhythm is broken
And I can’t remedy
The words we’d spoken
When it was just
You and me
Lies and lust
Can’t make a relationship
And we lost trust
And for that reason
It had to end
No regrets
For the loss of a false friend
