The Audacity! Imagine My Surprise When…

Back in 2011 I published what I had believed was the final draft of my novel Aldaria Chronicles: Hope for an Era. I had worked on it for five years. I had edited it to death. It was sufficient.

Sufficient is not perfect, and my novel still was more a novella than a novel. It had gaping holes in the story. It had missing plot points, and characters that were under-developed. The writing was worse than the first twilight novel. Overall, I turned out a subpar, barely good action fantasy novel.

Due to my personal distaste for the novel, I unpublished it and pulled it from the market. I discontinued print in 2013.  I revised and ordered prints and after reading over the prints I kept revising and am still in that process.

Journal Seven: Cursed So Done!

My narrative is cursed! I lost the disk file 5 times and the USB file once. I love to write but writing the same paper 50 times is too much! That is all I can say!

Thoughts on this journal.

Seriously I remember this. USBS had just came out. This incident was the final straw and why I dropped English 100. I was tired of the teacher talking about how she hated to write. I was pissed she added a question on the test involving a football teams score in the game the night before. But after explaining that my floppy disk got a virus she still wouldn’t accept my narrative because it was late. I walked out of class and dropped it. I took the course at a community college later and passed. A TA should never teach a course like that.

Social Saturday: Hurricane Irma

Normally I would have asked you all to leave questions in the comments last night. I got home late though and that didn’t happen. Leave questions for me in the comments of this post and I will answer tonight.

Now that that is out of the way, lets talk about Hurricane Irma. If you are in it’s path I am pleading you evacuate. This is a storm like we haven’t seen in 80 years.

The satellite images show that this storm is no joke. The size alone swallowed the islands it hit. Don’t think you will survive. GET OUT. After all Irma isn’t alone.

The Caribbean is preparing for Jose and at this point they don’t have much left. If it were me I wouldn’t be taking chances when two hurricanes are following one after the other.

Irma is suppose to now be heading toward Tampa. I am begging my family, friends and strangers. Just leave. Please, take your elderly. Yesterday it was the Bahamas, the storm is coming don’t wait.

Why I Won’t Be Cooking Turkey

Every year someone asks what my family is doing for Thanksgiving. While I do in fact celebrate Thanksgiving I find the origin taught to us as children horrific. When we were kids, we were told Thanksgiving was a time where the Pilgrims and Natives met and held a party celebrating shared success. The truth is, when Pilgrims came to American shores many did not survive the boat ride. Many more starved to death over their first winter.

The Pilgrims were not the first settlers from Europe at this point. Squanto, of the Wampanoag tribe, spoke English. He was the one to contact the Pilgrims. The Wampanoag were not just being kind ‘savages’ they were wary. Still they taught the Pilgrims how to grow food and Thanksgiving came and they met not to celebrate shared success but to sign a treaty, a treaty giving Pilgrims the land they lived on.

What did the Natives get in return? Smallpox, betrayal, whitewashing of American history? All of that. So while yes I celebrate with my parents I have not myself cooked a Thanksgiving turkey. My own children are Abenaki blood as is my spouse and I feel celebrating the genocide of their people is an insult. I’ll be thankful that more and more people are learning the truth. I will be thankful for my family and my kids. I am not proud of our history, but I hope that we learn from it and not repeat it.

Kentucky Bound

We will be Kentucky bound! Exciting. Neighbors here were pricks all night. Yelling and screaming. I slept through but poor Aaron woke angrier than a bear stung by hornets.

Trans people and Military.

Trump has announced a ban on trans people serving  and this is how I feel:

It’s  time to rise up. I will not, as a trans person who has military family, stay quiet. The army isnt a place to go backwards. We were the first to desegregate and we should be the first place to have full acceptance. Revolt, rebell as the declaration of independence states ” That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute newGovernment, ” it is time!
I am shaking. I am angry. America brags about freedom but we aren’t free. Healthcare is outrageous, racism is rampant and lgbt community is second class. Rise up!

Doctor WHO

Have they not watched the General’s regeneration? Or what about what the Doctor said to Amy about the Cosiar, and his or sometimes her regenerations. What is a Juggalo

I have heard many times the hate people have for my ‘family’. They spit on my music and associate me with the lunatics who claim “the music made them do it.” Hell, I cannot stand it. It makes me livid. I do not care if you had some bad experience because some criminal screwed your life up. It wasn’t the music it was because they were a criminal. It is like saying BDSM makes me an abusive boyfriend.

I am tired of that excuse that the music is to blame. Like my girl said does that mean Manson should be charged for the Columbine killings? Should Vampire the Masquerade be blamed for murder and blood feeding sprees? Should BDSM be blamed for crimes of rape or bestiality? No! No! No! What is to blame is human sickness. Human trash acting as trash is to blame. You want someone to blame then take it to the people who caused you the harm but not on my family not on my crew. Every YouTube video of a ICP song I see hatred spewed but it is never coming out of the mouth of a Juggalo it’s always out of people who despise us.
We try to explain that not all of us are on drugs, that we aren’t a gang, that we have kids of our own and that we do have an education. I am a Biology major with a 3.2 GPA. I have two children and a husband and am not against gay marriage. I despise bigotry and ignorance. I can write in proper English and I bath regularly. Most of the Juggalos I have met are the same way.

We are not a gang we are a fan-base. Kiss fans aren’t gangsters are they, nor are Manson fans or I don’t know KJ52 and Eminem fans. What was that lyric in one of his songs:

“They say music can alter moods and talk to you
Well can it load a gun up for you and cock it too
Well if it can, then the next time you assault a dude
Just tell the judge it was my fault and I’ll get sued”

Music isn’t what makes a person a good person or bad. A person is a bad person because they choose to be. They are bad because they grew up in a hateful environment around ignorance and crime and even if they knew it was wrong they choose to do it. Music doesn’t make a person unstable illness does. Saying every Juggalo is a killer is like saying every polyamorous person is part of a cult. It’s like saying every white person is part of the KKK.

All Juggalo’s are about is enjoying the music as a fandom. It’s kind of like how all being a Brony is about is watching My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. We aren’t out being actual “Homicidal Maniacs.” Since a good number of Juggalos are gay or bi I have no idea why I constantly hear claim they are assaulting the “LGBT” community. Like I said most Juggalos I know despise ignorance and those who use music, religion, or any other following to cover horrendous acts often have no idea what they claim they follow even means. After all how many killed in Jesus name when all he asks is we turn the other cheek.
